Erricos Stavrinos received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the VU University in Amsterdam, completed the five year, post-master programme in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the RINO in Amsterdam and thereafter trained in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
He is registered as a Clinical Psychologist and as a Psychotherapist both in the BIG Register of Health Care Professionals of the Dutch Ministry of Health and in the FGZPT, the Dutch Federation of Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapists. In Cyprus, he is licensed as a Chartered Psychologist (SEPS) with the specialization of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy.
Erricos Stavrinos was a member of the Cyprus Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (CAPP, 1995-2015) where he served as chairman (2009-2012) and for many years was member of the board and the training committee. In addition, he was delegate of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (EFPP).
From 1987 until 1994, he worked as a Clinical Psychologist at various psychotherapeutic centers and communities in Amsterdam: The admission unit of the Psychiatric Hospital in Santpoort, the Psychotherapeutic Community “Rijnland” in Santpoort, the Psychodynamic Day Centre “Amstel” in Amsterdam for adolescents and the Psychotherapeutic Clinic “De Sluis” in Amsterdam for young patients.
Currently he works as a Clinical Psychologist/Psychotherapist at his office in Nicosia and part-time at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) with patients with chronic neurological disorders.
